I am Saved

I have been so on fire this past month! I guess I have been doing some soul searching and just re-evaluating what is important and what is it that I really want to do. So far the man and I have decided its time to move on. Live what my friend Gracie calls the Bohemian lifestyle. We are so tired of Suburbia and having a house that owns us. It is time we just dive right into life feet first and know that Faith will carry us. I recently got some new font stamps and made this cute little locket style pendant, stamped on it is "I am Saved". I was inspired to do so because the Lord led me back home for my nephews First Communion. I really had no plans to go but somehow I found myself on the 5 that leads me right back home. I drove over 500 miles just me, the Bears and Little Lotus. It took us 9 hrs. The following day the man flew out and we were able as a family witness our nephews full membership into the Catholic church. While there I felt the burning in my heart that I have been yearning for for some time now and I knew the Holy Spirit was responsible for our being there. I was however, just a bit saddened that my oldest could not be with us. He is out on his own now with responsibilities and a full time job. I am very proud of the young man he is becoming :) So while sitting in church I knew the Lord has called us back and is guiding. All week I could not wait to get back in church. I will not let this gift go because it is a blessing. The following day after my nephews celebration we went to my mother's house out in the country and was able to have Easter dinner with her. The first time in over 6 years. It was one of the most cherish-able weekends I've had in a long time. I am so thankful.

So this is it. I am asking for God's will and not my own and I know he will take care of us. We are open to being led and I will try not to have fear but be encouraged and excited for what is to come. :) That following weekend we did make it back to church and are looking forward to Mother's Day mass. God is so good!

I was even given my Grandparents Jesus Statue. My Grandfather found him at the dump with a broken head so he took him back home and glued his head back on. I will cherish this gift. I have many memories of Grandpa sharing that story as I grew up and seeing Jesus always on their dresser.

What an awesome week it was! And we ended it with having our own special Easter dinner with my oldest and his sweet, cute little girlfriend :)

I so needed to be reconnected with my family. It was the encouragement we needed. For me it was also so symbolic of not just going back home but going back to my faith and realizing I LOVE my Catholic church. I love being part of this very OLD ancient traditional family xoxo
